Add your ideas to Globus at GSoC 2011

Globus has participated in Google Summer of Code for the last three years, giving the core developer team the opportunity to work with talented students, expand our community, and develop many cool projects. Globus will be applying again this year to be a mentoring organization in Summer of Code, and a big part of the application is preparing a strong list of student projects.

Again, we encourage members of the Globus community – especially from Europe – to add cool and interesting project ideas to the GSoC 2011 wiki pageYou will find more information on GSoC and detailed instructions on how to add a GSoC project idea there as well. Even though new project ideas are preferable, past GSoC mentors should feel free to re-offer any idea that was not developed last year.

The GSoC deadline for mentoring organizations is March 11th, but all project ideas should be collected and  added by March 9th so the Globus team can have time to polish them up, ask mentors for clarifications, etc.

Make your ideas a part of Globus — join for the Summer! If you have questions regarding participation as a student or a mentoring organization from Europe, please contact us. For all other questions, join or ask Borja.
